We had a great turnout for our first meeting of 2026, 19 in attendance in the room with another 15 joining on online to hear our guest speaker, Vanessa Marr, talk about the Domestic Dusters Project.
We hope some of our members will join in with this project stitching their own dusters. Dusters and red thread are available at group meetings. Our aim is to collect these in at our AGM in May.
Ali, our Chair, also talked briefly about the Stitch Colour Cloth Calico Dress project. Ali has created packs together with information, ideas and calico cut to several sizes. For members, packs can be picked up at our next meeting. More details for the project can be found here. At our exhibition in 2027 we plan to have the project nearing completion, with part of the dress available to be stitched as a community project.
