February Workshop 3D Embroidery Embellishments –

Twenty members attended our February workshop led by award-winning textile designer Chloe Patience. morning with a presentation from Chloe, explaining her inspirations, design practice with examples of her work for film, Timorous Beasties and as co-founder of Bebaroque.

She then guided us through the essentials of hand embroidery & beading techniques incorporating threads and wools (long and short / painterly stitch), beads and sequins (sewing beads: seed and bugle, sewing 3D beads and 3D sequins). Members created an inspiring and diverse range of personalised embroidered motifs and learned techniques to use in future pieces of work.
